While the 2012 Olympic Games officially got started on Friday night with the opening ceremonies, the competition begins in earnest on Saturday. A lot of the first week features qualifying for medal events in Week 2, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to pay attention to.
There will be plenty of time to break down the events happening in the second week, but with the games starting now, you need to know exactly where and when to find what you are looking for.
As always, all of the Olympic action can be found on the NBC family of networks (NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports Network, Bravo, Specialty Soccer and Basketball Channels). The Peacock is going all-out this year to provide the most in-depth comprehensive coverage in the history of the Olympics.
In addition to television coverage, NBC has created a website that will stream every event live and provide instant insights and analysis from the London Games. If ever there was a time to be a fan of the Olympics, it would be now. There will be so much coverage from across the pond over the next two weeks that you won't know what to do with yourself.
Here is a handy guide to all of the events from the first week of action in London on the NBC networks.
All times listed are EDT. Bold denotes live event.
