Obviously, I'm devastated by Mariano Rivera's torn ACL injury. Athletes including Rockies pitcher Jeremy Guthrie, Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino, Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer and Suns guard Steve Nash weighed in on Rivera via Twitter last night. More painful than the news of Rivera's injury was watching him speak to the media late last night. If there's one thing you need to know about the greatest closer of alltime regarding this situation, it's this: Instead of flying back to New York (from Kansas City) to deal with the injury, Rivera said he's going to stay with the team. "I just want to be here for the guys, make sure the guys are OK," he said.
