This week ABC's "The Bachelorette 2012" took viewers to Curacao to see Emily and her final three guys go on fantasy dates. Fans knew that this would be an episode full of romance and difficult decisions, and that certainly turned out to be true. Emily Maynard and Arie Luyendyk, Jr. have had an intense chemistry since day one, but how did their fantasy date go Monday night?
Arie shares that he thinks he fell in love with Emily on their first date, and he has had a crazy crush on her and attraction to her all along. He says that all he can think about is the moment where he proposes to her. Emily admits that they had an almost immediate connection that has grown, and he makes her feel comfortable. Emily and Arie take off on a catamaran, and their chemistry has them sizzling together. They are making out almost immediately, and then they take some time to swim with dolphins.
During the date, Arie shares with the camera that he's never felt like this for any other woman and he thinks Emily is the love of his life. He likes that things are so easy between them, and he says it feels like he has his best friend next to him at all times. He tells her that he feels like she saves the best dates for him, and she jokes that maybe she does. She asks him his favorite parts of their time together, and she laughs when she says that all his favorite moments involve them kissing.
Emily shares with viewers that, "It's not a secret that I love kissing Arie." She notes that if they stop talking it's to kiss, and she knows it's going to be hard not to have an overnight date with him because things are that good with him. She says she always has fun with him, and their physical chemistry has always been strong. But, she wants to figure out if there's more to their connection than just chemistry.
The two go to dinner, and Emily says that she wants to know more about Arie's day-to-day life. He talks a bit about a typical day in his current life, where he gets up about 9:00 a.m. each morning and eats nearly every meal out. He mentions that he is a people person and doesn't care for being home alone, so after he works at the shop or whatever else he has going on, he stops out for dinner and so forth. Emily jokes about the time he gets up, noting that life with Ricki will start much, much earlier on a typical day.
Emily and Arie discuss where they would live if they end up together, and she says she would be willing to move to Scottsdale if that's where he wanted to be, she knew they'd spend their lives together and it was the right thing for Ricki. They also talk about how Arie would envision building a relationship with Ricki. Arie says that he thinks there needs to be a slow progression in the relationship, where they would start as friends or buddies and build up to him becoming a father figure. Emily notes that she likes his perspective and finds that he's thought about it more than she gave him credit for.
They talk about how they both feel more confident in themselves when they are around the other. Emily notes to the camera that she's having an inner struggle about the fantasy date card. She says she's not going to give the card to him, as she doesn't trust herself to be there with him. She cries and says that while she'd like nothing more than to sit with him and enjoy the moment, there are still three guys there and all of them have formed a place in her heart. Emily wraps up dinner and walks out with Arie. They share some more time and kisses, but he doesn't get to spend any time with her in the fantasy suite.
