NBC executives are readying a plan to replace Ann Curry on the "Today" show, only a year after she became the co-host of the franchise. The show consistently ranked No. 1 in the morning ratings until this spring, when ABC's "Good Morning America" out-rated it for several weeks.
Dalai Lama expresses admiration of Suu Kyi
Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama held talks with Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi in London. In a message posted to his website on Wednesday, the Dalai Lama said the two Nobel laureates had met for around 30 minutes. He said he had told Suu Kyi he had "real admiration for your courage" and that he believed she would be of "great service to humanity." The meeting coincided with Suu Kyi's 67th birthday as she made her first visit to Europe in 24 years. She was freed from house arrest by the country's rulers in 2010. The Dalai Lama, 76, is also on a European tour.
